Terms and conditions for dog grooming

Owner (‘You’ ‘Your’)

Temperament: You agree to inform Us prior to any grooming service if Your pet has previously displayed any aggressive behaviour including any particular triggers which cause Your pet to act aggressively.

Where possible We may attempt to groom Your pet making use of a soft muzzle or by skipping stressful procedures such as nail trimming or blow drying.

We reserve the right to discontinue a service or refuse to groom any pet where the safety of the groomer or Your pet may be compromised. You will be liable for any damage or harm that result from Your pet biting or injuring a groomer or any other person.

Health: You agree to inform Us prior to any grooming service if Your pet suffers from any health problems such as:

  • A heart condition
  • Deafness/loss of sight
  • Allergies
  • Skin conditions
  • Arthritis/aches and pains
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Old age

Your pet’s vaccinations must be up to date prior to bringing them in for any grooming service.

Grooming elderly or pet’s suffering an illness will be at Your own risk however We reserve the right to refuse to groom a pet where We consider it will be put at risk.

You agree that We are not liable for any pre-existing health issues found during grooming and that as an owner You agree to be liable for all medical treatment incurred due to any issue relating to Your pet.

In the case of an incident or serious medical emergency during grooming or while Your pet is in Our care, You authorise Us to obtain veterinary treatment for which You will be liable.

You agree to be solely responsible for any and all acts of Your pet while in Our care and hereby indemnify Us, and keep indemnified to the full extent permitted by law for any action of Your pet which apart from this indemnity may have created any liability on Us or Our staff.

Matted Hair Removal: In the event You bring Your pet to be groomed and they have a matted coat, they may need shaving or additional clipping. Matted animals may take addition time to groom therefore attracting an additional fee onto the regular grooming price.

Although We will take all necessary precautions to avoid harming Your pet, the addition shaving and clipping may result in irritation and we are not liable for any after effects.

Where We consider the matting to be too severe to groom or that Your pet may be put at risk, We may refuse to groom or refer You to a veterinary surgeon.

Fleas: We request that pets suffering from a flea infestation are not brought in for grooming and request You treat infestation prior to any further visits.

Should an animal be brought to Us with a flea infestation, You authorise Us to use an insecticidal shampoo at your expense and you may be liable for additional costs including our costs of cleaning and disinfecting our premises.

Cancellation Policy: In the event you provide 24 hours or more notice of cancellation you will not be charged a cancellation fee. Should You provide less than 24 hours notice, You will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the grooming fee, this will be added to Your next grooming fee.

Payment: All services must be paid for in advance and We will not conduct any services until payment is received.

Collection: We require all pets to be collected by close of business, in the event a pet is not collected, or You are late, a surcharge may be charged.
